The Power of Prayer
Question:  What can I pray for?

The short answer is everything, often, and if you are unsure of God's direction; pray again.
We should seek God's direction in ever facet of our lives; no matter how big or small.
Everything we say or do reflects our being followers of Christ.

1-Recognize and acknowledge in your heart God for who He is
Matthew 6:9 "Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name.  Your kingdom come, Your will
be done on earth as it is in heaven."

2-Confess any sin that God puts His finger on in your life.
Psalm 66:18 "If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear."

3-Prayer of surrender and renewal to God.
Psalm 19:14 "Let the words of my mouth and the mediation of my heart be acceptable in
Your sight, O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer."

4-Prayer for people who need Jesus.
II Peter 3:9 "The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is
longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should  perish but that all should come to
repentance."

5-Pray for our nation.
Psalm 33:12a "Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord"

6-Pray for the Southern Baptist Convention and South Carolina Baptist Convention
Mark 3:25 "And if a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand."
